We are living in heavily influenced times – the TikTok trends, the “skincare gurus” on Instagram, and not to mention the (unsolicited) advice from your sister/friend/coworker on what they SWEAR is the only thing that has worked for them. It can be extremely overwhelming to know what to listen to and I am here to help.
Come with me and I’ll walk you through what to expect at your new patient consultation appointment & we will get all of your questions answered. Instead of, “Where do I begin?” you will leave asking, “When do I begin?”.
Meet Your Provider: Amanda Holesko, NP at NuIQ in Cleveland
Hi, I am Amanda Holesko – the lead NP here at NuIQ Wellness Lounge and Med Spa. I have been an aesthetic nurse practitioner for over five years and I have specialized in individualized care plans with natural results. I will dedicate 60 minutes of time to sit down with you, identify any and all areas of concern, and come up with a plan that fits your comfort level and budget. Though each consultation is individualized and customized, let’s take a sneak peek into what we may talk about at your first visit here with me at NuIQ Wellness Lounge.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
Step 1: Let’s Talk About Your Skincare & Wellness Goals
Identify what brings you in – Is it an overall wellness consultation, looking for anti-aging advice, a specific sun spot or wrinkle that’s bothering you, etc. If you have any specific concerns, we will start there and review options for treatment. For this case, let’s say you are interested in a good plan to prevent & correct signs of aging skin.
Step 2: Reviewing Your Skincare Routine
Here we will talk about your current skincare routine – no judgement, I have heard it all! After reviewing your current routine, I will make recommendations for any adjustments or additions to your current plan. Medical grade skincare and aesthetic procedures go together like diet & exercise; one just does not work as well without the other. Here at NuIQ, we carry three medical grade skincare lines as well as a Plated™ Skin Science topical exosome serum. We will put together a product regimen that works best for you.
Step 3: VISIA Skin Analysis and Creating the Treatment Plan
Using advanced technology and detailed photographs, the VISIA Skin Analysis will give us a thorough idea of how your skin is currently aging. The VISIA Skin Analysis technology will look closely at pores, wrinkles, texture, brown spots, redness, and bacteria on the skin. This device will also give you a “True Skin Age” which shows how your skin is aging versus your biological age – spoiler alert, these ages are not always the same! After your scan, we will begin coming up with a treatment plan for the year. We will choose a treatment for your skin, a treatment for facial balancing, and a treatment for expression lines and wrinkles. This may look like a Halo resurfacing laser, Sculptra, and Botox. We will then discuss maintenance treatments to prolong your results such as quarterly SkinPen Microneedling or our exfoliating Glo2 Facials.
Step 4: Scheduling Your First Aesthetic Treatment at NuIQ
Lastly, we will get you scheduled for your first treatment! Again, this treatment plan will look different for everyone – we will start wherever you’re comfortable and take things at your own pace! The most important step in your skin journey is the first one. Let’s take that step together!
